Most of the Imperial park is kept for the Imperial family.

However, a few areas are free for the average Japanese citizen, or the average tourist (a tourist is always average).

And again those superb finely tailored trees.

And the wish place, where everyone can write down its best wish on a small wood bar before hanging it onto the pannel. Of course after having donated a few coins to the monks, who hold the shop nearby.

I noticed a few wishes written in English. Would it be that some tourists converted to Shintoism...?

On your way to the temple, those alignments of barrels of sake, offered by "well off" people to the monks in order to help them catching up and recovering from their bad depressive periods...

The label on each barrel of course shows the name of the generous donor.

A kind of Japanese charity.

At the entrance of every Shinto shrine, one can see those typical great wood gates called torii, aimed at preventing evil spirits (the bad kamis) to enter the place.

A specific architecture, with those nice curbed roofs.

One of the few quite areas in Tokyo.

Another sight, which may evidence this feeling of being trapped in an ant hill.

Please considere Japanese are about 130 million people, who are to live on an area, which is about two third of France. Considere in addition that a large part of the country is hardly inhabited given there are many mountains and only limited flat areas, in the Kanto and Kansai plains.
Thus, density is very high, especially in the towns.
